The possible Windows 11 of the year 2023

On the Dev Channel of the Insider program, which is aimed at developers and less stable, Microsoft now has Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25188, the so-called 10.0.25188.1000 rs_prerelease, released. The feature preview, some of which are still experimental and potentially planned for future releases, once again includes a host of optimizations and the following innovations and optimizations:

Optimized Touch/Screen Keyboard

In the future, the touch screen keyboard can be configured to react when external keyboards are connected or disconnected.

We’re testing a new touch keyboard setting that replaces the “Show touch keyboard when no keyboard is connected” checkbox in Settings > Time & Language > Typing > Touch keyboard with a new dropdown menu with 3 options to control whether to touch an edit control should launch the touch keyboard:

  • “Never” suppresses the touch keyboard even when no hardware keyboard is attached.
  • “When no keyboard is connected” will display the touch keyboard only when the device is used as a tablet without the hardware keyboard.
  • “Always” will show the touch keyboard even when the hardware keyboard is connected.

Of the three options “Never”, “Always” and “If no keyboard is connected”, you should be able to choose later when the input tool should be shown. Also, the on-screen keyboard can still be used with familiar keyboard input Windows + Strg + O show and hide again.

Still fails due to copy protection

Games that use Easy-Anti-Cheat also cause problems as they can crash and cause an unintentional restart, and some users complain of no audio output.

Using the taskbar and start menu can also cause display errors under certain circumstances, and the .NET Framework 3.5 also cannot be activated with this build.
