end of update
Windows 11 2022 Update is here and it seems to be causing problems. Because IT security news site Bleepingcomputer
reported
that Nvidia graphics card owners complain about performance drops when gaming. It was basically known that Windows 11 Fall Update would lead to performance loss: Windows 11: New update costs performance. However, these were effects on the processors. But the performance losses now described in connection with Nvidia graphics cards are a new, previously unknown issue.
This is how the problem appears
Some gamers are reporting massive stutters and lags when playing the game. Apparently CPU usage dropped significantly after installing Windows 11 2022 Update:

he complains
: ”
I just updated to 22H2 and am now dealing with extremely unstable FPS in all of my games. I have good gaming specs and have never seen any issues before (Ryzen 3600, 1070 TI, 16GB RAM). The games are basically unplayable
“.
In the Microsoft forum
such comments accumulate.
Those affected unanimously report that the issues will be resolved as soon as the Windows 11 2022 Update is removed.
An user
but it seems to have a solution:
“Increase the process priority in Windows Task Manager: right-click, details, right-click again, priority. Then the CPU usage of this process should no longer be throttled.” The user suspects that this is part of the new “Green Power Delivery garbage” (as he puts it) that Microsoft has announced. And more: “By increasing it in stages until the stuttering stopped, I was able to fix my stuttering issues in Final Fantasy XIV. When everyone started mentioning that their processor was capped at 5% for each game, I got excited thinking about the limit of power”.
However, Microsoft has not yet confirmed whether this user assumption is correct.
Nvidia is already investigating
Microsoft has not yet confirmed these performance issues when playing games after installing the Fall Update. nvidia
on the other hand, the problem is already being investigated.
It is better not to install the update at the moment
As long as this issue is unclear or has not been resolved by Microsoft and/or Nvidia, it is best for Nvidia graphics card owners not to install the Windows 11 2022 update.
