The WhatsApp instant messaging service UWP app from the Microsoft Store for the Windows 11 and Windows 10 operating systems will receive archivable chats and reactions in the future. A corresponding beta version of the messenger is currently in the testing phase, as is the website. Windows latest informed.
Users using WhatsApp as a UWP app on Windows should be able to react to messages with emojis in the future. The developers of the messenger use the internal social network Instagram, which also belongs to the parent company of Facebook, Meta, and which already offers this type of reactions, as a model for this new feature. This should allow emotions to express themselves more quickly.
In the latest beta version of WhatsApp v2.2208.1 it should also be possible to archive chats and access already archived conversations, as WhatsApp users are already used to from the mobile application for Android and iOS.
The current beta version of WhatsApp’s UWP app, which recently received a dark mode and emoji panel, is expected to be in testing for a few more months.
