Players can collect 60 heroes, villains, monsters, and more from the Warcraft universe and battle it out in an immersive single-player, co-op, and PvP campaign. We’ve known since Blizzard’s new mobile game Warcraft Arclight Rumble was unveiled on Tuesday night. Select players in certain regions will soon be able to play the beta as well, and registration for this has already started as well, as we told you in our first preview of the game.
More official information about the game is available today, Wednesday, including a statement from Mike Ybarra, current president of Blizzard Entertainment, who seems pleased with Warcraft Arclight Rumble. The related press release says:
Blizzard Entertainment has unveiled Warcraft Arclight Rumble, an action-packed mobile strategy game coming this year to Android and iOS devices in select regions. Warcraft Arclight Rumble is the first game built from the ground up for mobile devices in the popular Warcraft universe and invites players to test their tactical skills against their favorite Warcraft heroes and villains in unique missions.
It’s important to note that the first Warcraft strategy game in 19 years is due for release in 2022. So a beta can’t be too far away.
Blizzard: “Exactly the experience we want to create!”
In Warcraft Arclight Rumble, players can collect over 60 characters from the Warcraft universe, brought to life as carefully crafted miniature figures. You can succeed in an epic single player campaign with over 70 missions, take on cooperative missions with friends, and test your armies in competitive PvP mode.
Mike Ybarra, president of Blizzard Entertainment:
“Warcraft Arclight Rumble offers exactly the kind of experience we want to create at Blizzard. It’s fun from the first minute, but also engaging and rewarding in the long run. We are very proud to release a new and authentic representation of Warcraft for mobile devices. We can’t wait for players to experience the hilarious mayhem of this game for themselves.”
Easy to learn but difficult to master, Warcraft Arclight Rumble requires players to build miniature armies to efficiently overcome the unique challenges of each mission. Assemble armies from your collection of minis, starting with the leaders, including familiar Warcraft characters like Warsong boss Grommash Hellscream and Archmage Jaina Proudmoore, and complementing the rest of the armies with squad minis and powerful spells.
A variety of game modes
Each single player mission presents players with their own little strategic puzzle, forcing them to adjust their tactics in real time to survive these frantic challenges. In addition to the 70 quests that make up the single player campaign, players can also take on dungeons that contain their own challenges.
It also offers players cooperative activities (such as raids) and battles against other players in PvP matches. They can also join guilds where they can chat with their comrades, plan their adventures, and work together to earn rewards for everyone.
Players continually earn in-game currency, which they can use to expand and upgrade their collections simply by playing. Alternatively, purchases are also available from the in-game store. More information about the in-game store, including pricing and inventory, will be revealed later.
Soon, select players in certain regions will be able to try the Warcraft Arclight Rumble beta, Blizzard promises once again. go to registration here throughout.
