XUB3293UHSN means IPS, UHD and 32 inches
In the classic 16:9 format, the ProLite XUB3293UHSN offers an IPS panel with 3,840 × 2,160 pixels and a 60 Hz refresh rate. The 8-bit panel is combined with Frame Rate Control (FRC) to simulate a color depth of 10 bits. According to the manufacturer, the response time is 4 ms, the brightness is 350 cd/m², and the contrast ratio is 1,000:1. The screen must cover 99 percent of the sRGB color space.
iiyama names an HDMI connection, DisplayPort, USB-C, Ethernet, Audio-Out, and two USB-A. The USB-C upstream port also carries image data (DisplayPort Alternate Mode) as well as Ethernet and USB signals, so it can serve as a USB-C dock for a laptop that can draw up to 65 watts. Thanks to the KVM switch function, two systems can be operated with the same mouse and keyboard.
Additional features include built-in speakers and an interchangeable stand with all the common options for aligning the screen, including height adjustment and pivot.
Of the ProLite XUB3293UHSN It should be available in stores shortly, with early retailers already accepting orders for €469 (RRP €509).
The XCB3494WQSN has UWQHD and curved VA
With 21:9 curved VA panel technology, the ProLite XCB3494WQSN is a completely different product. The 3440×1440 pixels mean a significantly smaller virtual workspace, but it displays at a 120Hz refresh rate that’s twice as high. Typical for VA is the high contrast ratio of 3000:1; However, the brightness (300 cd/m²) and the color depth (8 bits) are lower. Instead of the usual response time when changing gray (GtG), the Moving Picture Response Time (MPRT) is specified, which is said to be very low, 0.4 ms. With these properties and FreeSync Premium, the monitor should also be suitable for gaming.
In addition to the same connections as the sister model described above, there is a DisplayPort output for the daisy chain and another USB-A socket. 120Hz is only possible via the unspecified DisplayPort output, the HDMI connection is limited to 100Hz.
There are also speakers, a USB-C dock, KVM, and height adjustment. As usual pivot mode is not possible with this wide format.
