Of nuclear disposal leads directly to the traffic meltdown! Car Pope Ferdinand Dudenhöffer (70) is now warning of this. He told BILD: “Whoever says E must also say A!”
︎ Background: To save the climate, according to traffic light plans, the number of electric cars should increase from the current 440,000 to 15 million vehicles. This explodes the demand for electricity in the country. Dudenhöffer estimates that there are 48 million cars on Germany’s roads today. The average annual mileage is 13,000 kilometers. “If all cars in Germany ran on electricity, we would need at least an additional 138 terawatts of electricity a year in Germany!”
In order to cover this amount of electricity with wind turbines, an additional 39,000 wind turbines would be needed, Dudenhöffer warns. That would be more than duplicating previous systems!
Therefore, the auto pope warns that it is “very naive” to dispense with nuclear energy. Either nuclear power would have to be imported from abroad or gas and coal power plants would have to continue operating. The exit strategy was “reckless, stupid and at odds with the rest of the world”.
