The new emojis will be decided in September. The following tips have a good chance of being available on all smartphones soon.
In September, an official decision will be made on which emojis will be included in the Unicode 15.0 character standard. The specialized emoji site Emojipedia has already created the first drafts of the suggestions.
It is not entirely certain whether all proposals will actually be included in Unicode 15. In the past, however, the vast majority of applicants have also been hired. This year, however, the number of possible new images is significantly less than in the past.
In total, only 31 new emojis were suggested. By 2021, this number was still 112. In 2020, a total of 334 new images were submitted to the race. In some cases, the number of new royal symbols is significantly less, but some are implemented in six different skin tones, each of which is individually counted.
Again this year, more than a third of the 31 suggestions consist of variants of the same emoji: the pushing hand points once to the left and once to the right and is also available in five other skin tones.
