New Delhi:
Like Google Assistant or Alexa, the government is working on a plan to develop a voice assistance app. Its purpose is to make government schemes accessible to the people. The government is considering starting a chat bot or voice assistant app on Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant lines. The government has also called bids for this. The government believes that this Artificial Intelligence platform can be used to interact with people in many languages, analyze their intentions, collect data to provide users with a personal experience.
The National Electronic Governance section of the Ministry of Information and Technology has sought proposals for the creation of this application in the Umang application. Today, Umang Manch is still the main means of providing government services to the people, information delivery.
The proposed application will have support for many languages, so that users in local languages will be able to connect with it. Users are expected to provide a personalized experience on this new platform with insight, correct answers, and data analysis. In the new application, the government will provide many facilities to the people and become part of the UMANG application. The government wants chatbot-to-text and text-to-speech (text-to-speech) speech conversion work to be done in the new app as well.
