I knew there was a sequel to the Sonic the Hedgehog movie. Its release date is April 8, 2022, and full production will begin next month. And now we know what it is called.
The title was revealed in a short video shared on the movie’s official Twitter account. This is a somewhat predictable and unimaginable, yet stunningly exciting Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
Of course, it shares its name with the high points of Sega’s iconic series and the sequels to certain video games that many consider. As anyone who has seen the original knows, there certainly seem to be some similarities between the two.

In the post-credit scene of the original movie, Robotnik was banished to the world of mushrooms. It looks like Jim Carrey’s transformation into an eccentric villain has been completed, but in the meantime, when we return to our world, we’ll see the portal where Miles’ Tales Prower was first introduced. In the 1992 Sonic the Hedgehog 2 series.

Following the bumpy release, the original Sonic the Hedgehog movie enjoyed the best opening weekend of any video game movie to date, spending around £ 76.6 million. Our reviewer, Oli Welsh, wasn’t too obsessed with Jeff Fowler’s films, but to meet Sonic the Hedgehog himself, in a special homemade Sega T-shirt from Brighton Sega World. I didn’t go to the opening. What does he know (I really liked it).
Perhaps the most exciting thing about this short new bullying is the music sting from the Emerald Hill Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Can you see a more quirky background to match the original game? It’s not embarrassing to admit that you can’t wait to find it.
