The device has a lot of screws to keep track of when tinkering (iFixit is better than glue), and better waterproofness can make it harder to repair, but water damage. It is less likely that it will need to be repaired. According to iFixit, the biggest drawback is the glass on the front and back of both devices, which increases the chances of damaging the phone if it falls.
