Samsung Electronics announced that the Google Assistant will join the suite of voice assistants currently available on smart TVs in 2020, providing viewers with enhanced control and discovery capabilities.
The Google Assistant is currently deployed in France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom. It will arrive in India, Brazil, Spain and South Korea by late November and will arrive in several more countries by the end of this year.
The Google Assistant is now available with Amazon Alexa and Bixby and is fully integrated into Samsung Smart TV, eliminating the need for additional downloads, hardware and installations, and being replaceable according to household preferences.
“The use of voice assistants on smart TVs has grown exponentially since the launch of Bixby in 2018. Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa are now supported, asking consumers for more smart TVs. “We are calling for this,” said Celine Handsome Samsung Electronics’ display business, vice president of visuals, in a statement.
The Google Assistant is available on all Samsung 2020 smart TV models (4K and 8K QLED TVs, Crystal UHD TVs, The Frame, The Serif, The Sero, The Terrace). The Google Assistant voice commands allow users to browse channels, adjust volume, control playback, launch apps, and more.
“By deploying the Google Assistant on Samsung Smart TV, we want to connect your living room to the rest of your smart home so you can better manage your day across your favorite Google services,” said the Google Assistant. Said Jack Krawczyk, Director of Product Management at. ..
