RX 6800 (XT) and 6900 XT availability – still a tragedy at Proshop

Date:

The low availability of the RX 6800 (XT) and 6900 XT continues and according to updated figures from Proshop.de, at best there is drop by drop.

Since the release of the Radeon RX 6800 and 6800 XT in mid-November, the two graphics cards have not been significantly available in the reference design or as custom models from board partners, which has continued with the top model. RX 6900 XT, which was launched in December. After the last Danish hardware dealer Proshop and Caseking from Germany about two weeks ago had published revealing and disappointing figures on the movement of goods on cards, Proshop.de recently updated its summary on December 21st.

As of 11:18 am yesterday, nothing has changed significantly in the poor delivery situation of the individual models, and therefore of the 2,930 copies of the RX 6800 ordered, only 42 were received recently. The situation is similar with the 6800 XT with 2,513 versus 13 and the 6900 XT with 354 versus 4 at the entrance. The number of cards already received doesn’t look much better either, and the full overview is provided below. Even if this is just a representation of a single online store, the numbers should be pretty indicative.

Meanwhile, the delivery situation is continuous in the PCGH price comparison, where currently only two custom models of the Radeon RX 6800 be listed (RX 6800 and 6900 XT for nothing) and is still correspondingly expensive from 849 euros compared to AMD’s recommended retail price (579 euros) for the benchmark. AMD had “normal prices” for the cards in a month or two at the end of November. provided in promising, of which now apparently two months at best, which is probably also due to the last announced extension of production of the reference design.
