There is a release date for Kerbal Space Program 2 Early Access. The game will hit the launch pad this coming February, where improvements will then be made.
Kerbal Space Program 2 is like a real space program: one delay follows the next, but now the rocket is headed for the launch pad. Out of fuel, but there’s a system check. Early Access is scheduled to launch on February 24, 2023, weather permitting.
According to the developer, Kerbal Space Program 2 will offer a lot of new content for space travelers at the start of the early access phase, including hundreds of new and improved parts for building various vehicles and rockets, time-lapse acceleration for improved long-distance flights and improved graphics, including a system for planetary atmospheres and terrains. The game also features improved tutorials and a streamlined user interface for new recruits to give them the knowledge they need to pull off great space flights. Purchasing Kerbal Space Program 2 in Early Access is intended to allow the community to contribute to the future development of the game by providing feedback directly to the developers as we move towards final release.
Kerbal Space Program 2’s core game will be better than ever, according to the creators, giving spacers “almost endless possibilities” with tools to create advanced spacecraft and lunar rovers. Once the game enters Early Access, over 350 new and improved parts are waiting to be used, including engines, fuel tanks, procedural part systems, and more. Using these building blocks, space scientists can build planes, rockets, planetoid vehicles, and other creations for their adventures. Kerbal Space Program 2 will also offer the ability to customize and paint vehicles, making each build even more personal and expressive.
KSP 2: There is no physical solution to the N-body problem.
In addition to selecting new parts, the game will feature new environments to explore. At the beginning of the early access phase, explorers can already travel throughout the Kerbal system. Departing from beautiful Kerbin, the Kerbals explore the cratered Mun, admire the gigantic green clouds of Jool, and discover breathtaking panoramas on these revamped celestial bodies. All of these classic locations have been reworked and offer “unrivaled realism” and “stunning complexity” thanks to a terrain system that is said to pose new challenges when choosing a landing spot. The spacecraft will land with a new system for cloudy planetary atmospheres.
