The Razer Barracuda X wireless headphones have just become official: they are headphones designed for all your gaming devices, therefore compatible with consoles but also with mobile devices … and much more.
Razer Barracuda X: 99 euros and they are perfect for any product
Last month, the gaming peripheral maker announced the Opus X Bluetooth headset designed for mobile gaming. Now, the company has launched the Barracuda X, over-ear headphones designed to work with all game consoles and with the PC, laptop or desktop computer. Like the model launched in June, this one also has a cost of 99 dollars (euros on our part) but we are talking about a totally different product.
While the Opus X connects via Bluetooth, the Barracuda X connects wirelessly via a USB-C dongle using a 2.4 GHz wireless technology called Razer HyperSpeed Wireless. This dongle provides ultra-low latency and can be connected to the USB-C port on the DualSense 5 controller for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and phones with USB-C port. Users can also connect to one of these devices and the Xbox Wireless Controller using a 3.5mm auxiliary cable.
The headphones that weigh 250 grams and they have driver 40mm TriForce. They feature thicker headband cushions, swivel ear cushions, and memory foam ear cushions. There is also a cardioid microphone. Razer HyperClear removable. The canopy on the left houses the control buttons, the audio jack, the USB-C charging port, and a detachable microphone jack. Unfortunately, no active noise cancellation (ANC).
The Razer Barracuda X has a battery life of 20 hours, which is significantly less compared to the Opus X, which lasts up to 30 hours with ANC on and 40 hours with ANC off. They can be purchased now on Amazon and on the Razer website, available in only one color: black.
