When the PlayStation 5 release date arrives, Game, Amazon, Argos, and other major UK retailers will keep you up to date on when and when new inventory will arrive throughout the day.
The news is almost bad, as many fans struggling with the difficult pre-order process may expect: not all retailers expect inventory, and those who do so it’s very Limited and will arrive.
Some retailers have made it clear that they have no inventory to offer. Argos said in an email sent to a customer that the console came out, but only bad news.
“Unfortunately, we’re out of stock tomorrow, but we should arrive a little earlier. We’ll let you know more in the near future.”
The game says it has several consoles and warned customers to make sure they were trying to buy online instead of coming to the store.
Some stores offer click-and-collect, but only customers who order over-the-counter collection. All new consoles are sold online and are not available in stores, even in UK locations where they normally operate.
Amazon probably had the most specific positive news for all customers looking for a console. It said it will be sold throughout Europe on the release date.
They will be added to the site at noon UK time, it said in its email.
However, Amazon wasn’t completely clear when these consoles would arrive, even if customers ordered on the release date.
“We make every effort to deliver all orders as soon as possible,” Amazon said in the same email. “If you place an order, we will email you the estimated delivery date, but this is subject to change.”
Amazon has already warned some Xbox Series X customers that even if they succeed in pre-ordering, they may not receive the console until the end of Christmas.
