On February 15, the third Featured Hour of February 2022 will take place in Pokémon GO. Tomorrow Trainers will meet Smogon and get extra Fang XP.
Updated 02/14/2022: Tomorrow Trainers will enjoy the next Spotlight Hour in February 2022. You will find more Smogon and get additional Fang XP. You also have a chance to catch Smogon and SmogSmog as Shiny.
Update of 02/08/2022: And it’s Tuesday again, so tonight between 6pm and 7pm another spotlight hour is just around the corner. In today’s Featured Hour, you’ll meet Parfi, which can evolve into Parfinesse. As a bonus, you get double Stardust during Spotlight Hour. Unfortunately, Parfi is not (yet) available as a shiny. So today’s lesson is only good to fill your Pokédex.

Updated 02/01/2022: The first of February is here and coaches can kick off the month with an hour of attention today. Because today is Tuesday and from 6 pm Leufeo appears more and more in the wild. Starting today, the Fire Pokémon can also be caught as Shiny, because the Lunar New Year event in Pokémon GO starts today. Below we have all the important information for you Time of prominence with Leufeo collected.
First report from 01/27/2022: San Francisco – January is coming to an end and with it the shortest month of the year is about to begin. Developer Niantic has, of course, thought of some events for Pokémon GO* players and the hours of attention are also focused on new Pokémon. These four Pokémon can be found by Trainers in February.
Pokémon GO: Spotlight hours in February 2022: this is how they work
What is the time of the attention center? Spotlight Hours is a weekly recurring event in Pokémon GO. Every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., a specific Pokémon takes center stage and appears more frequently in the wild. A bonus is also active during this time, rewarding trainers with more stardust, candy, or XP.
All Spotlight Time Dates: There are exactly four hours of prominence in February, after all, February is the shortest month of the year. Here you can see all the dates, Pokémon and bonuses at a glance:
date | Pokemon | cousin |
---|---|---|
February 1st | Leufeus | Development XP |
February 8th | fragrance | star dust |
February 15 | smoke* | XP Capture |
February 22 | Voltobal* | sweet |
What Pokémon will there be in February 2022? In February 2022, the focus will be on Pokémon Leufeo, Parfi, Smogon, and Voltobal. Leufeo and Parfi each hail from the sixth generation of the game, while Voltobal and Smogon have existed since the first generation.
Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hour on February 1 – Leufeo and XP
What bonuses are there? February starts with a Tuesday, so you can meet Leufeo directly on February 1 during business hours. The Fire/Normal Pokemon can evolve into Pyroleo. Developments also award double XP during Spotlight Hour.
Is it worth the spotlight hour? Unfortunately, neither Leufeo nor Pyroleo, a later development, are strong attackers. So the hour is only worth it if you don’t already have Leufeo and Pyroleo. Thanks to the XP bonus, you should save your developments until this time. So you can get double development XP.
Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hour on February 8 – Parfi and Stardust
What bonuses are there? On February 8, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., trainers will meet the Pokémon fairy Parfi. This can evolve into parfinesse. Catching Pokémon will earn you double the stardust during this featured hour.
Is it worth the spotlight hour? Like Leufeo, Parfi is also not very useful as an attacker in Pokémon GO. If you like to play PvP, it is worth parfinesse for the super and hyper league. Therefore, this hour of attention alone is worth it as a Pokédex filler.
Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hour on February 15 – Smogon and XP
What bonuses are there? The poisonous Pokémon Smogon has been known to players since the first generation and can evolve into Smogmog. In addition, he can also appear as Shiny. Spotlight Hour with Smogon on February 15 will give you double Catch XP.
Is it worth the spotlight hour? Unfortunately, Kanto’s Poison Pokémon also doesn’t play much of an attacking role. Neither in trainer battles nor in raids does it make sense to use it. However, there is a chance to catch Smogon and Smogmog as Shiny. Trainers should take advantage of the spotlight hour on February 15 to catch as many Pokémon as possible to rack up double experience points.
Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hour on February 22 – Voltobal and Candy
What bonuses are there? The Electric-type Voltobal will be out of the spotlight in February 2022. Like Smogon, Voltobal has been in the game since Gen 1 and can evolve into Lectrobal. Catching Pokémon will award double Candy in the latest Featured Hour on February 22.
Is it worth the spotlight hour? Voltobal and Lektrobal are also not strong attackers in raids or in trainer battles. But you can catch them both as Shiny, even if the chances of that don’t increase in the hours of attention. Therefore, Trainers should use the last Spotlight Hour in February to get double Candy for catching Pokémon.
So the hours of prominence in February 2022 are not the best either. Trainers should primarily use them to benefit from bonuses or to top up their Pokédex. But there are many more events in February in Pokémon GO. Currently, players must prevent Team GO Rocket from taking over and fight countless thugs.
