[PLUS] Three wireless mice and three keyboards for gamers in the test

Date:

New or just improved?

When peripheral manufacturers release a new mouse or keyboard for PC gamers, it’s not always a newly developed model. Known series often only receive technical improvements such as a more modern scanning unit, revised key switches or a modified format. If so, there is more talk of a facelift than a new launch with innovative technology or equipment.

Old models, new technology

With the two Huntsman V2 models, whose key switch has been reviewed and isolated by Razer, and the three wireless gaming mice, there are a total of five products in our test that have been technically reviewed, but have hardly any real news in terms of to equipment. (number of keys, memory size, additional keys) or the properties (size, shape, feel) can be determined. Glorious PC Gaming Race, for example, cuts the cord on the O/O model and the D/D model and replaces the old sensor with a more modern version. The shape, size, lightweight construction, number of additional keys, and even the colored LED at the bottom for the Dpi switch are all retained. The situation is similar with Corsair’s M65 Ultra RGB Wireless. The Marksman sensor, optical key switches, and gesture recognition technology are all new here. Regarding the shape, the special construction and the equipment, including the additional weights and the sniper button, there are no changes compared to the predecessor. With the Pixart PMW3370 sensor, main key switches including a new base (switch shift), and Dpi-On-The-Scroll function, Asus has also only given the Spatha X a tech upgrade, but no new extras.
