New Delhi: India’s Supreme Court has established an independent committee to investigate the Pegasus hacking scandal that has rocked the country. The details of the Pegasus investigation are regularly reported by a panel of three experts to Justice Ravindran, a retired Supreme Court justice. Professor Prabhaharan: Prabhaharan, a professor at the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeeth (School of Engineering) in Kerala, has two decades of experience in the fields of informatics and security. He specializes in malware detection, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. In addition, many of his articles have been published in leading magazines.
Anil is the secretary: Ashwin Anil Clerk is Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering and Computer Science, IIT Bombay. In addition to obtaining 20 US patents in various fields, his 150 articles have been published in leading magazines. He is also the author of three books in the computer science section. Vikram Sarabhai received the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award in the Research, Science and Technology category. Anil is also a visiting scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States.
The high court, which had established an independent investigation committee with eminent experts in the field of technology, ordered that the investigation be completed as soon as possible. The committee was instructed to make recommendations on any changes to the existing privacy law, including the Pegasus hacking case.
