Ford and Team Fordzilla have partnered with gaming provider Next Level Racing® to bring some of the automaker’s racing experience to the gaming world with the new GTElite Ford GT Edition cockpit and ES1 Ford GT Edition seat. The new GTElite Ford GT Edition cockpit and ES1 Ford GT Edition seat will be on display at Gamescom 2022, taking place August 24-28, 2022 in Cologne, Germany. Both products will be available through the Next Level Racing® retail channel in the second half of October 2022.
Available separately, the blue anodized cab surround features laser-engraved Ford branding and offers adaptive positioning for an authentic driving experience. The seat includes blue Team Fordzilla-branded seat belts, a Ford GT and Team Fordzilla-branded anti-slip mat, and an embossed Ford GT logo on the headrest with ergonomics optimized specifically for sim racing. It was developed to give users with a large waist a firm grip and a comfortable seat at the same time. The racing cabin was designed for a weight of up to 250 kilograms. The steering wheel, pedals and gear lever are compatible with all major electronics brands. In addition, the ES1 Ford GT Edition seat can also be used in other game booths as long as side seats are supported.
Since its inception in 2019, Team Fordzilla’s mission has been to explore and merge the boundaries of the real and virtual worlds. The recent collaboration with Next Level Racing® continues this effort by offering gamers an even more immersive physical environment for a realistic and enjoyable driving experience in computer racing games.
