In the past, Nokia had a very diverse business model. It also manufactured personal computers and laptop computers, and at some point mini laptops. MikroMikko was a dedicated computer line manufactured by Nokia Data, Nokia’s computer division in the 1980s, and sold until 1991. In 2009, Nokia also announced the Nokia Booklet 3G, mini laptop or netbook using Microsoft Windows 7. The OS supports 3G via a SIM card, Nokia’s Ovi Maps service, and the company claims up to 12 hours of battery life on a single charge. Since then, Nokia has not seen such a product.
You are now a Nokia brand licensee, but you can see the Nokia brand again on your laptop. A new series of Nokia laptops certified on November 27th will be launched in India. According to BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification, laptops are manufactured by Tongfang Limited in China.Authentication mentions Up to 9 different models of Nokia laptops Model numbers NKi510UL82S, NKi510UL85S, NKi510UL165S, NKi510UL810S, NKi510UL1610S, NKi310UL41S, NKi310UL42S, NKi310UL82S, and NKi310UL85S.
It’s a pure guess from my side, but according to the model number, the first two letters (NK) probably mean Nokia, the next letter (i5 or i3) probably stands for the processor, and the number “10” Probably means Microsoft Windows 10 as OS. Therefore, according to the model number, you may see 5 Nokia laptops with Intel Core i5 processors and 4 other Nokia laptops with Intel Core i3 processors.
It’s not yet known if the new Nokia laptop will be sold by Flipkart or by Nokia’s new brand licensee. If Flipkart is what’s behind it, it’s probably exclusively available in India and they’ll soon start bullying about its launch. Flipkart is also Nokia’s brand licensee for Indian TV and streaming devices.
