New iOS 15.4 software: these emojis now come to the iPhone | life and knowledge

Another novelty: Face ID facial recognition works with protection for the mouth and nose

New features and emojis for iPhone!

Apple will release iOS 15.4 software version for its smartphones next week. It can be charged on all models from iPhone 6S (2015). The update brings a number of innovations.

► Face ID facial recognition now also unlocks iPhone when wearing a mouth and nose protector. The function must be activated once in the settings under “Face ID & Code”.

If the “Face ID with mask” option is activated, Face ID only scans the eye area to identify the owner of the iPhone. Previously, skin wearers could only unlock their iPhone using facial recognition if they were wearing an unlocked Apple Watch at the same time.

► With iOS 15.4, a bunch of new emoji landed on iPhone. The Unicode Consortium had the small symbols last fall recommended. Now emojis are coming to iPhone, including a bunch of new emoticons: a melting face, a wide-eyed face peeking through his fingers, and one holding back tears.

Alongside the smiling novelties will be various hand gestures, an x-ray, a disco ball, a gender-neutral person wearing a crown and a Pregnant man added to emoji picker.

► Also new: After the update to iOS 15.4, the EU digital Covid certificate can be stored in the “Health” app in order to be able to prove one’s vaccination status.
