The more realistic and sophisticated the games become, the more data is used. External storage solutions are recommended so that the console or PC does not fall to its knees. Lexar has added one of these to its portfolio – the SL660 BLAZE Gaming Portable SSD is based on the standard USB 3.2 Gen 2×2, with the help of which data speeds of up to 20 Gb / s should be achieved. To ensure connection, a USB Type-C to Type-C cable with a Type-C to Type-A cable is also supplied.

According to the manufacturer, the external SSD achieves read speeds of up to 2,000 megabytes per second and write speeds of up to 1,900 MB / s. The design is particularly striking: in addition to the unusual shape, there is a sandblasted surface that not only looks good, but also protects the memory from shocks and vibrations. Also included is a mounting bracket and carrying bag.

The protection of stored data is ensured by AES 256-bit encryption and security function, which prevents the restoration of deleted data. Lexar General Manager Joel Boquiren said: “Lexar continues to expand its gaming product portfolio, and the Lexar SL660 BLAZE Portable Gaming SSD is designed for the growing community of gamers. The fast speed, bright RGB LEDs, and attractive styling ensure that the gaming experience and performance are elevated to the next level. “

The unit is now available in two storage capacities: 512 gigabytes (RRP: 124.90 euros) and 1 terabyte (RRP: 215 euros).
