Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Update 5 trailer shows new monsters and Halloween celebrations

Date:

Expansion of Monster Hunter World, Iceborne, Has received several major free updates since its launch and will make some major additions in the next update. Update 5 Introduced on October 1st, a new trailer has been released to showcase new monsters, costumes and events to bring to the game.

This update introduces two new monsters. Fataris, a traditional dragon-type creature, and Berkana, icy “arch tempered.” You will now be able to unlock new armor sets from both Fatalis and one from Velkhana.

Another addition includes Universal Studios Japan’s joint quest, which is available worldwide. This is interesting because most of the game collaboration has been done with other game franchises. But in a year when access to theme parks was much more difficult than usual, that’s not surprising.

The game will also feature a new Halloween-themed event, Celiana Fest. It will bring a new set of armor and terrifying furniture. There are other gear sets shown in the trailer above. For example, an armor set where a hunter appears to be running around in underwear or extreme buffs.

This is the last free major update, ending a long campaign of free material. The next Monster Hunter game, Monster Hunter Rise, will be available on Switch on March 26, 2021. GameSpot Pre-order Guide..

GameSpot may receive commissions from retail offers.
