Microsoft submits to internal PowerToys, an extremely extensive collection of useful professional tools for the Windows 11 and Windows 10 operating systems, another product update. This time there are also two new system tools that show process dependencies, among other things.
Microsoft Toolkit for Windows
After Microsoft revived the collection of tools already known since the days of Windows 95 in September 2019 for Windows 10 and then for Windows 11 and gradually expanded it in the meantime, PowerToys 0.64.0 is another product update of the powerful suite. system with updates. for the numerous little helpers and two new system tools.
The “File Locksmith” tool provides information about process dependencies and you can use the context menu to check, for example, which process is preventing file deletion. The new “Host File Editor” allows editing of local configuration files to map host names to an IP address.
