Thiruvananthapuram: UnitTalk Vinodini, the wife of former CPM secretary of state Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, has approached the police seeking an investigation into media reports that she owns one of the iPhones that owner Santosh Eepan gave to Swapna. Vinodini had filed a complaint with the state police chief. The complaint seeks to verify if the SIM card was used in the iPhone delivered by Santosh Eepan.

The phone you are using now was bought with money. I have the bill for this. No one in the house has a phone with the code mentioned in the news. Vinodini also said in the complaint that the news in the media was personally insulting.

Customs is willing to cooperate with the investigation. But he couldn’t get close to them because no notification was received. According to the complaint, there was only one SIM in his name and he should check if the number was used on the iPhone. The DGP turned over Vinodini’s complaint to the cybernetic unit of the police for further investigation.

Customs discovered that the SIM card in Vinodini’s name was used in one of the five iPhones handed out by Unitac owner Santosh Eepan in exchange for the contract to build the Vadakancherry flat. Vinodini was reportedly notified to appear at the customs office to investigate the matter. After this, Vinodini approached the police.
