The next multi-company management game from Tentworks Interactive, City Block Builder , released a demo that gives players a preview of its version of Los Angeles from the 1950s before its release later this year.
City Block Builder is a combination of deep tycoon management games with large scale city building elements. Set in Los Angeles in the 1950s, the game puts you in the shoes of a budding young entrepreneur who is determined to build his own business empire. Fresh from the victory of WWII, Los Angeles is the pop culture capital of the world. With the glitz and glamor of Hollywood, designer stores, and the best cuisine money can buy, all under a canopy of blue skies, the City of Angels represents the “American Dream” at its most ideal.
This manifestation offers players the ability to create their own cinema and restaurant. As the owner of these establishments, it is up to you to make all decisions, large or small, about the operation of your business. Choose which tiles, wallpapers and furniture to decorate with. Decide which movies your theater projects and at what time. Establish your restaurant menu. Hire and fire staff. Nobody said that building an empire would be easy!
Jay Basani, CEO of Tentworks Interactive: “This demo is limited to making a movie theater and a restaurant, but we think it will give players an idea of how detailed and fascinating the full game will be when it launches later this year.” .
