Logitech G, a Logitech brand and supplier of gaming equipment, this week introduced the latest versions of the G502 gaming mouse.
These are the new G502 X, the G502 X LIGHTSPEED and the G502 X PLUS. The improved design of the G502 X builds on the legacy of the G502. For the first time, the mouse has opto-mechanical LIGHTFORCE switches.

This is a new type of microswitch technology that aims to combine the benefits of an optical switch with the clicky feel of a mechanical switch. LIGHTFORCE uses galvanic contacts within the switch, which are intended to maintain the clicky feel of a mechanical switch.
The G502 X features a redesigned reversible and detachable DPI button that accommodates different hand sizes and grip styles. There’s also a scroll wheel that still has the G502’s dual endless scroll and ratchet modes. The mouse can be charged as usual via a USB-C cable.
Combining the HERO 25K gaming sensor with LIGHTFORCE, the mouse is said to offer response times that are “up to 68 percent faster” than its predecessor models. The G502 X-Series is also compatible with Logitech G POWERPLAY wireless charging pads.
The G502 X PLUS model features LIGHTSYNC RGB with the following features: 8-zone LED lighting with smooth transitions that can be adjusted to user preference, on/off effects, and power saving modes through active detection of games. All three mice are available in black and white.
The Logitech G502X, G502X LIGHTSPEED, and G502 X PLUS gaming mice will be available soon with MSRPs of €79.99, €149, and €169.
