The LG 27GN650 (PRAD-News) gaming display released in 2021 has been joined by a smaller sibling model, which we want to cover here for the sake of completeness. The 24GN650 has a 23.8-inch IPS panel with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, achieves a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz, promises a fast 1ms gray shift, and is advertised with HDR10 support.
According to the data sheet, the contrast ratio is 1000:1, typical luminance is 300 cd/m², color depth is 8-bit, and sRGB coverage is 99 percent. Thanks to FreeSync Premium, tear-free gaming fun should be guaranteed. On the interface side, there are two HDMI inputs, a DisplayPort, and a headphone output. You will not find any USB port.
With tilt, height adjustment, pivot, VESA mount (100 x 100mm), blue light filtering, and flicker-reduced backlighting, the 23.8-inch screen leaves almost no ergonomic wish unfulfilled. A black stabilizer can be accessed through the OSD. The monitor is mercury-free, weighs 3.4 kg without the stand, comes with a two-year warranty and, with a power consumption of 21 watts, is classified in EU energy efficiency class F (from G).
Of the LG24GN650 it’s already widely available in retail with most online stores listing it for under €200.
