After the Kone XP, Turtle Beach’s gaming accessory brand Roccat is now launching a wireless offshoot, the Kone XP Air. “The response to the wired Kone XP has been amazing and fans have been asking for a wireless version right away. That’s why we’re so excited to announce that the Kone XP Air will be available in less than a month.” So says René Korte, founder of Roccat and general manager of PC peripherals at Turtle Beach.
The “Stellar Wireless” variant will appear on August 22 this year in the colors black and arctic white and aims to complement the strengths of its predecessor with more flexibility. The manufacturer promises up to five hours of playback with the included Rapid Charge Dock, with a charging time of just ten minutes; and a total battery life of approximately 100 hours. With the supplied PhantomFlex-USB-C cable, the Bluetooth-connected gaming mouse can also be turned into a wired one.
Colorful but not cheap!
Ten mouse buttons and the 4D mouse plate result in a total of 29 programmable input options, and 3D RGB lighting is staged through the transparent casing. The Kone XP can also communicate with other AIMO compatible products and thus generate intuitive and dynamic lighting conditions.
Those interested can pre-order the wireless version, which weighs just 99 grams, from Roccat and participating dealers for an RRP of EUR 169.99, which means they have to pay EUR 80 more than the wired version.
