“We are no longer a photo-sharing app. Video-sharing apps are growing rapidly, and Instagram will adapt to that trend,” Mosseri said in a video posted on Twitter, quoted by CNet, on Friday (7/2/2021). .
It says that Instagram has started testing video recommendations in the new feed. Then the Instagram content will feature more recommendations based on topics.
In addition, the view that was previously only competed in photos will be changed to video format. Later, Instagram will show videos with full-screen, immersive, entertaining and mobile views.

Testing of this new screen will likely take the next six to eight months. Mosseri guarantees that the company will keep users informed throughout the process.
