One of the newest features in Messenger Whatsapp was added, is the possibility of creating a personalized avatar. We’ve already seen avatars on Facebook Messenger and Apple’s iMessage (and FaceTime). Now you can also create a cartoon image of yourself on Whatsapp even if you use WhatsApp on Android smartphone.
The avatar can be used in chats to express different emotions. Here’s how to create an avatr. According to Whatsapp, the feature will be available to all users this week. However, depending on the smartphone model and the version of the operating system, this may take a few days. You can see if you have access to avatars by opening the app, tapping the three dots in the top right corner, and selecting “Settings.” Under the Account option, you should see a new section called Avatar.
If you don’t see the avatar section, go to your phone’s app store and check for updates for Whatsapp. Hopefully, it won’t be long before the feature is available to all users.

With the face and hair ready, you can now choose your body type and the clothes you want your avatar to wear. Different outfits, hats, and jewelry are available, and there’s even an option to show off a hearing aid if you’re hard of hearing.

When you’re happy with your selection, tap the “Save Changes” option. Your new avatar is now available in the Stickers section of your chats. Of course, you can always go back to the avatars section to change your appearance. To do this, simply repeat the steps above.

How to put your avatar as profile picture
Your avatar is not just for chats, you can also use it as your profile picture. It’s easy: go to Settings, tap your profile picture, and select Edit > Edit, then Use avatar. Now your friends will see your cartoon every time you appear in their chats.
