The Aorus 15P is quite well equipped with an RTX 3070 and an eight-core Intel i7-11800H. The good equipment not only applies to the powerful package of these two computer chips, but also to the rest of the 15-inch laptop. The Full HD display, for example, offers a 300Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for shooters or fans of high fps in general. Inside there is also an NVME SSD with a terabyte and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. The laptop doesn’t seem to be missing anything, so we can take a closer look at whether the deal is worth it here.

Note: We are currently raffling the notebook among our Youtube subscribers together with Gigabyte! Right over here!
Connectivity is impressive: with HDMI 2.1 and Mini-Displayport 1.4, there are two current video outputs. Also available: three USB 3.0, a 2.5 Gigabit LAN socket, and even the all-rounder Thunderbolt 4 is included.
The speakers sound quite usable, they can be turned up to a fairly high level, but they lack bass, for example. This means that the sound is still better than the quality of many low-priced household telephone receivers, but of course it does not replace a pair of active speakers.
Windows 10 is pre-installed on the laptop and can be easily upgraded to Windows 11 thanks to TPM 2.0.
It’s nice that Gigabyte kept the laptop free of bloatware and only pre-installed useful stuff like setup software for the laptop. In addition to the performance profiles, there are some useful additional functions that are not necessarily a matter of course and we like them: for example, the fan curve can be set manually. As a result, the 15p isn’t necessarily much quieter at full load, but the fans can be tuned so that they don’t necessarily start immediately on smaller load peaks. The fan curve is not just a nerdy hack here, but a very useful feature that other laptop makers are happy to see.
