Carl Medlock, who served as Tesla’s territory manager between 2009 and 2013, recently shared his experiences with Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

In a new episode of The Iced Coffee Hour podcast, hosts Graham Stephan and Jack Selby asked him questions about working with Elon Musk. Medlock said it was “fun” to work with Musk.

But the former Tesla executive also mentioned that Musk is unsociable and highly intimidating, sometimes even firing employees out of the blue.

“If Elon watched every step of an employee’s work, it was a sign that the person would soon be leaving his job.” These and other observations were shared by former Tesla manager Carl Medlock in an episode of the weekly podcast. “Iced Coffee Time”. In the August 7 interview with hosts Graham Stephan and Jack Selby, Medlock discussed his time at Tesla from 2009 to 2013.

Speaking about how he landed the coveted job, Medlock said the electric car company was looking for a master technician with experience running a dealership and working on high-end cars when he was approached. “Apparently I was the only person in the Seattle area who met all of those criteria on LinkedIn.”
