Asus ROG introduced numerous new gaming products at Gamescom 2022. These include fast high-end monitors, durable, high-resolution wireless mice, a compact SFX power supply, and new true wireless headsets. We will give you an overview of what’s new at the fair.
From Small to Large: New Gaming Monitors
Beside new OLED monitors in giant format Asus also shows the new ones at Gamescom ROG Swift PG27UQR gaming monitors Y Strix XG32UQ and XG32AQ. The Swift PG27UQR is a 27-inch with 4K resolution at 160 Hz and a Fast IPS panel that achieves a GtG response time of 1 ms. Additionally, there’s DisplayHDR 600 and 95 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.
Also the two 32-inch monitors Strix XG32UQ 4K and XG32AQ QHD use a Fast IPS panel for fast response times and offer DisplayHDR 600. The XG32UQ can also display native 4K resolution at 120Hz via HDMI 2.1 on current consoles and goes up to 160 Hertz. The XG32AQ sacrifices the highest resolution for an even higher (overclocked) refresh rate of 175 Hz.
New sensor for ROG Keris Wireless and Gladius III Wireless
the ROG Keris Wireless he’s an old acquaintance, but now he’s with him ROG AimPoint internal optical sensor updated to 36,000 dpi. But that’s not all, because the battery life should also increase to 119 hours against the maximum of 78 hours of the original. The ROG Gladius III Wireless is also upgraded with the AimPoint sensor, which brings the same benefits – namely 36,000 dpi resolution and up to 119 hours of runtime – to the larger of the two gaming mice.
For the ears: ROG Cetra True Wireless Pro
Asus ROG introduces a completely new peripheral product with the Cetra True Wireless Pro before, a variant of the TWS earphones that have been available for a while now. The Pro model is intended for the first time Dual-mode Bluetooth and wired USB-C connectivity Offer. In addition to hybrid ANC technology, wireless charging, and a waterproof case, the ROG Cetra TWS Pro also offers some new features.
So in wired mode you get access to one ESS 9280 Quad DAC and an AI noise-canceling microphone. In Bluetooth mode, it takes advantage of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sound technology for low-latency wireless playback. The standard variant of the ROG Cetra True Wireless is also expanded to include a white variant in the style of the Moonlight series.
Small Power: ROG Loki SFX-L 850W Platinum
Last but not least, Asus ROG introduced the literal little brother of the ROG Thor power supply: the ROG Loki SFX-L 850W Platinum brings the features of its big brother to the compact SFX-L form factor. It comes with a 16-pin cable for PCIe 5.0 graphics cards with up to 600 watts of power and is 80 Plus Platinum certified with up to 92 percent efficiency. A 120mm axial fan with PWM control and two heatsinks should keep temperatures in check.
