Logitech has released a range of keyboards and mice designed specifically to meet the needs of Apple users. The Designed for Mac line has expanded to include the MX Mechanical Mini Keyboard for Mac and the K380 Bluetooth Keyboard for Mac, as well as the MX Master 3S Mouse for Mac and the Lift Ergonomic Mouse for Mac.
From the outside, the new devices look similar to previously released PC variants. These can also be used with Macs. What stands out about the “Designed for Mac” keyboards are the Mac-friendly keyboard layouts, which contain the “Command” and “Option” keys in addition to the function keys. The mice, on the other hand, look identical. However, according to Logitech, they have different firmware tailored to Apple devices, so the manufacturer doesn’t add a Bluetooth dongle and is confident that they can communicate directly with Macs, iPads, and iPhones via Bluetooth without restrictions.
However, the manufacturer admits that the “for Mac” addition also has an important function in terms of marketing. Apple users often made purchasing decisions based on whether a device was specially optimized for it.
