“VideoProc” software is one of the all-in-one applications – it comes as a jack of all trades when it comes to video features. This allows you to shape the recordings stored on your PC, both technically (convert files) and visually (cut, apply effects). The conversion is especially useful if you want to watch videos on external devices that do not support the format in question. Another feature is YouTube video download. What does VideoProc Pro do?
VideoProc Pro is divided into four sections that you can click from the main interface: “Video”, “DVD”, “Downloader” and “Burner”. Hovering over the headings gives you explanations of everything that’s possible here. The features advertised in the bulleted software interface:
- “Video”: Cut, merge and edit videos; Convert, compress, lightning fast with perfect file size and quality
- “DVD”: Convert DVD or ISO images to different formats; to play on smartphones, tablets, HDTVs, game consoles, etc.
- “Downloaders”: Download web videos and save them in different resolutions and formats
- “Tape recorder”: Record video from screen and/or webcam
Graphics processors (GPUs) are typically faster than main processors (CPUs). VideoProc Pro takes this into account and uses the power of the PC’s built-in GPU for acceleration. The provider talks about level 3 hardware acceleration. Transcoding and video processing are said to be up to 47 times faster. CPU utilization remains low (an average of 45 degrees Celsius), according to the manufacturer’s announcement. In fact, one of our Windows 11 21H2 test systems in task manager attested that VideoProc Pro’s conversion process was using the integrated Nvidia GPU (in the single-digit percentage range, sometimes processor utilization graphics went up to 100 percent).

If you are interested in the application, download it and run the installation file. The Windows UAC warning message (yourbe Abill Ccontrol), which appears due to the request for administrator rights, confirm with “Yes”. There should already be a check mark in front of “I accept the agreement”. Therefore, it is possible to continue directly with “Install”. If the mark is missing, set it. The configuration is completed after a short time, with the “Start” button you open the application. In the future, you can do this by double-clicking the new “VideoProc Converter” desktop shortcut.
To check if everything went well, exit the program and start it again. The previously displayed dialog for entering the key should no longer appear. Click on the screw symbol with the arrow at the top right and select “About”. The window that appears should no longer say “Not Registered” but rather “Trial License”.
