This is Progetto Arca Christmas in the street of Milan, a party that will last the entire week of December 25 so that those who are alone and without shelter can experience the flavor and warmth of the moments of conviviality that are lived in homes. during the holidays. .
And also in Varese, Turin, Rome and Naples, which are the cities together with Milan where Progetto Arca is present with its street units, rich gifts will be distributed on the street, for a total of 1,500 power banks, a very useful tool in the street of a survey of volunteers: in fact, at night the cold runs the risk of quickly discharging the mobile phone and these external batteries are an indispensable source of energy so as not to leave isolated people who are already alone.
Special itinerant dinners will be offered in Milan throughout the week before Christmas thanks to Progetto Arca’s mobile units, active every night in different areas of the city and supported by the mobile kitchen. In fact, the foodtruck has been bringing 140 hot meals to Milan every night for more than a year, 5 days a week, thanks to the provision of ovens and kettles on board.
Operators and volunteers also celebrate in the reception facilities with guests, of all ages and nationalities, with decorated rooms and panettone every day.
Traditional festive sweets also complete this month’s food packs for families with financial difficulties, for which Progetto Arca has also organized a special moment dedicated to the little ones. La Bottega solidale di Rozzano is transformed into the house of Santa Claus who gives a gift to put under the tree to all the girls and boys of the families assisted by Progetto Arca and who are part of the “Cuore Visconteo” support project. Thanks to donors to the foundation, many games and books have been collected: in total, more than 100 special gifts for children of all ages.
