“There has been a lot of talk lately about unrealized profits, which is a means of tax evasion, which is why I suggest I sell 10% of my shares in Tesla,” Musk wrote in a tweet, Reuters reports.
He also stated that he will adhere to the survey results, whatever they are.
Mask’s comments follow a proposal in the United States Congress to tax the billionaire’s property in order to help pay for President Joseph Biden’s social and climate program.
Musk, one of the richest people in the world, has previously criticized the proposed tax for billionaires on Twitter.
– Please note that I do not accept a cash salary or a bonus anywhere. I only own stocks, so the only way to pay taxes in person is to sell those stocks, Musk said on Twitter.
Musk recently responded to comments from David Bizley, director of the UN World Food Program, who reiterated the call to the world’s richest people to use a portion of their wealth and come to the rescue once and for all.
Beasley specifically mentioned Mask along with Jeff Bezos, the founder of “Amazon,” and said that just two percent of his estimated wealth, which is $ 6 billion, can prevent 42 million people from starving.
– If the World Food Program can explain to me how exactly six billion dollars will solve the problem of hunger in the world, I will immediately sell my shares in “Tesla” – declared Musk on Twitter.
