Irish studio 9th Impact has announced that the officially licensed Big Brother game will be released next month for iOS and Android.
Oddly, it sounds like a battle royale version of The Sims. Play as a contestant in the world-famous reality television series while experiencing life as a Big Brother housemate. You have to make strategic choices to stay home and not be voted on, and eventually stay in the game with social, psychological and interpersonal skills.
There are two modes to play, Housemate and Spectator. Audience means that the housemate plays the role of a scraped and despised viewer, eventually voting for the player knocked out of the game. To be able to play in the latter category, you need to purchase in-app tokens and half of the game’s content will be locked to free users.
Meanwhile, 9th Impact also revealed that the winning housemate will win a life-changing prize, but details have not yet been revealed.
The Big Brother began airing in the Netherlands in 1999. Since then, 480 versions of the series have been aired in various formats in 54 countries and territories. Over 28,000 episodes have been produced, with 7,153 housemates from around the world staying in the house for over 35,000 days and over 5,000 live evictions. This is a myriad of numbers, but it basically means that the show is very popular and can be translated well between different cultures.
9th Impact is an Irish-based developer best known for adapting games based on popular TV shows. In 2018, we brought Danger Mouse to mobile, making Nintendo Switch a finalist for the Mobile Games of the Year at Gamescom and TIGA Awards.
With the release of the web browser, the 9th Impact Big Brother game will be released on October 15th on the iOS App Store and Google Play for Android. You can keep Update it here..
