More and more connected, more and more social, more and more… apps. These are the data from the 2021 report of the App Annie analysis platform. Data that certifies a new record for the use of apps in the world: 4 hours and 48 minutes a day for a global expenditure in the last 12 months -still marked by the pandemic- of 320,000 dollars per minute. 42% of the time of use is spent on social and communication applications. The new certified record exceeds that of last year, when the average time spent in front of the mobile or mobile device was 4.2 hours. A ceiling that breaks in South Korea and Brazil. As mentioned, time is mostly spent on social media (42%) and photo and video apps (25%), 8% is spent on gaming, 3% on entertainment. Also this year the most downloaded application worldwide was TikTok, followed by Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. In the top 10 there is also a place for Zoom.
In Italy, instead, in 2021 the most downloaded apps were those related to the pandemic: PosteID, IO, Verifcac19, Immuni, including Vinted, to buy and sell used clothes, including designer clothes. Also in our country, in terms of monthly active users, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and Messenger are in the top positions, while Amazon, Spotify and Netflix are also in the top ten. The ranking of apps with which you spend the most has Dazn, Disney+, Google One, Tinder and Netflix in the lead. Of the games, the most downloaded was Count Masters.
