With the Agon Pro PD32M, AOC and Porsche Design have launched a 32-inch monitor whose technical data makes you sit up and take notice. With an IPS mini-LED screen, it offers a maximum brightness of 1,600 cd/m² and is DisplayHDR 1400 certified. But these are not the only advantages of the monitor.
HDMI 2.1 and Adaptive Sync up to 144 Hz
Because the screen, which is designed with a UHD resolution of 3840 × 2160 in 16:9 format and has a pixel density of 138 ppi, also offers a variable refresh rate of up to 144 Hz (Adaptive Sync). To be able to address this resolution and refresh rate, there are two HDMI 2.1 ports. In addition, a DisplayPort 1.4 and a USB-C port with DisplayPort 1.4 and four USB 3.2-A ports are installed.
USB-C with 95 watts and 97% DCI-P3
The USB-C connection offers power delivery with up to 95 watts and thus also charges connected laptops. The two companies specify the response time of the panel at 1 ms. Coupled with 97% DCI-P3 color space coverage, the monitor should be equally suitable for gamers, graphic artists, and HDR videos. AOC specifies typical brightness for SDR content as 600 cd/m². Headphones can be hung on the two built-in headphone holders.
Aluminum base in the style of the Porsche steering wheel
The screen sits on a trapezoidal aluminum base, said to be styled after the Porsche steering wheel. The base also allows for a pivot function. Porsche Design has not yet provided any information on the other ergonomic functions, such as height adjustment, tilt and screen rotation. As an alternative to the integrated bracket, a VESA bracket (100 × 100 mm) can be screwed on. Sound can be output through two 8-watt speakers or the two headphone jacks. A line input is also available.
The OSD functions can be changed using the “Wireless Quick Switch”, a wireless remote control for the monitor.
RGB lighting and logo projection
Additionally, the Porsche Design AOC Agon Pro PD32M offers three-sided RGB lighting on the back of the screen and an LED logo projection on the base, which projects the Porsche Design logo onto the base of the base.
102 watts for HDR content
Monitor power consumption is specified at 102 watts for HDR content and 82 watts for SDR content. The power supply is installed internally.
