Just over a week after the last Android update, Google follows up and has the next one. Google system update released, which will be rolled out to all smartphones and many other Android devices. The second round this month brings some additional improvements, mainly focused on the Play Store, but account management will also be further improved.
Google System Updates is a new line of updates that consists of operating system components that can be updated directly from the Play Store. Previously this was known internally as “Project Mainline” and changes were only communicated publicly in rare cases. However, with the new name, transparency has also been increased and detailed information about the improvements is provided several times a month.
By the way, Google system updates are separate from Google Play Services updates and updates through the Google Play Store. While system updates are really related to the operating system, the game services are responsible for the staging and framework. The Google Play Store updates the apps used by the user and is therefore at the top of the now three-tier update pyramid. However, in the month of April, most of the updates refer to improvements in the Google Play Store.
Here are the updates for the month of April, which Google has rolled out in two waves so far, with the second rolling out to all devices in the coming days. The first wave started on April 4, but was announced several days before and possibly implemented. However, some of these have only been re-updated for the latest update, even though they were there earlier this month. It is quite possible that there have been changes in the background.
