Android 12 Officially Released, Here’s How To Update On Pixel Phones

YOGYAKARTA – The final version of Android 12 has been officially released by Google and can be used on Pixel phones, from Pixel 3 to Pixel 5. While for Pixel 6 phones it has been installed automatically so that users do not need to reinstall Android to the latest version.

Also, smartphone users with other brands like Samsung Galaxy, Oppo, Realme, Vivo and others can use the Android 12 operating system from the end of this year.

Previously, Google, as a developer company, had issued the “Developer Previews” version of Android 12 and the “Beta” version and finally officially released the final version of the Android 12 operating system on Wednesday (10/20/2021).

Quoted from The edge, there are a number of additional features and various changes in the Android 12 operating system. One of them is the “Material You” layout which allows users to have the flexibility to configure the “Start Screen”.

“Android 12 is more expressive than previous versions of Android, with tools that allow you to coordinate colors that can be expanded through application icons, drop-down menus, widgets and more,” Google said in a statement.

Especially for the Widget function, Google has made an update, both in terms of appearance and the program it contains. They also plan to make more than 12 additional widgets that can help the operating system of the smartphone that uses Android 12.

Users of Pixel 3 Series, Pixel 4 Series and Pixel 5 Series phones can update the software on their respective smartphones with the following steps.

How to update Android 12 on Pixel phones

For Pixel Phone users, you can update Android to the latest version by selecting the “Settings” menu on your smartphone and selecting the “System” menu it contains.

You can then select the “System Update” menu, a pop-up window will appear if you want to update the Android system to the latest version, click “OK” and wait for the update process to complete.

Your smartphone will restart automatically to start the Android 12 operating system. However, if your phone does not restart automatically, you can do it manually.

Here’s how to update the Android system on your smartphone to Android 12 version. Pixel phone users can follow the steps above to update, while other smartphone users can wait until the end of the year to be able to use the operating system. Android 12.
