Update: September 4, 2020 10:19:29 pm
Mobile gamers across India are dismayed by the government’s move to ban the popular game app PUBG Mobile, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has announced an Indian app called FAU-G to cater to the same audience. Before the players were air-dropped on this new battlefield, memes and jokes were dropping online.
The FAU-G action game called Fearless And United-Guards is being claimed by the makers to be an initiative in support of Narendra Modi’s Prime Minister Atmanirbhar movement. Many people say it took only two days before the Indian version was released, as #FAUG and #AkshayKumar dominated trends across social media sites. Some were disappointed by the similarities to the US military-based action game, Fanatical Futurist.
Nonetheless, netizens are intrigued to see what the new game has to offer.

The announcement comes just two days after the Indian government banned 118 Chinese apps, including PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite. Some Indian game developers are using the PUBG Mobile ban as an opportunity to bring their digital choices to the game and keep gamers interested.
