Xiaomi presented the Redmi Note 12 in a special edition and now it is assumed that the Chinese competitor Realme will react with a new cell phone and even surpass Xiaomi. This is an incredibly powerful charging feature.

Realme GT Neo 5 charges extremely fast

Xiaomi has with the Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition presented a mid-range smartphone, which can fully charge the 4,300 mAh battery with the 210-watt fast charging function in just a few minutes. However, this record should only be short-lived, because Realme is preparing a new smartphone with the GT Neo 5, which charges with incredible 240 watts objective. It is not yet known how big the built-in battery will be. If the power storage is larger than Xiaomi’s, the runtime might be a little longer. But no other smartphone manufacturer charges its devices with 240 watts.

Not only the charging performance of the Realme GT Neo 5 should convince, but also the image quality of the cameras. A 50 MP main camera with image stabilization and an 8 MP ultra-wide angle should be used. Machine learning is supposed to optimize images. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor will be used in the top model with a 240-watt fast charging feature. The version with the 150-watt fast charging function is said to bring the MediaTek Dimensity 8200. So Relme also wants offer a slightly cheaper version.

The predecessor loaded with a maximum of 150 watts:

When will the Realme GT Neo 5 be released?

Chances are high that the Realme GT Neo 5 will be unveiled shortly. That GT Neo 3 was presented by Realme at the end of February 2022. If the annual pace stays the same, we should get two new cell phones from China early next year. Realme phones are also sold in Europe, so you might as well get a chance to get a 240-watt fast-charging phone. This is unlikely for Xiaomi, because the Discovery Edition should only be available in China.
