Images of a Zotac model of the Geforce RTX 4090 have leaked. The entire cooling build is impressive and is expected to keep around 450 watts TGP happy, maybe more.
Even before the expected presentation of the new Nvidia graphics cards, a custom design of Zotac’s Geforce RTX 4090 was leaked. The images confirm Nvidia’s new design language and you can get a first impression of what custom cards will look like in general. The large cooler is a no-brainer: Zotac opts for a three-axial-fan model, and assuming the card occupies three slots, you may not be entirely wrong. The overall length also appears to be respectable.
According to the latest rumors, the Geforce RTX 4090 should have 16,384 FP32 shaders and 24 GiByte GDDR6X memory with 21 Gb/s. All together must reach 450 watts TGP; Partner OC models will likely be based on the max plug up to 600 watts. The Zotac doesn’t show how the power supply fails; Videocardz, for example, didn’t want to rule out the possibility that there might also be room for two of the new 12VHPWR connectors. In a recent benchmark test, an AD102 reported a clock speed of 3015 MHz; that would be a bit more than the ~2800 MHz previously predicted. There was talk of a base clock of 2,235 MHz, a boost clock of 2,520 MHz, and a maximum clock of 2,750. However, as in previous generations, custom skins in particular will be heavily selected and sold as editions with different OC levels. It’s also possible that Zotac’s design will cover a future full expansion. The Geforce RTX 4090 is said to have 128 streaming multiprocessors, while the full expansion is said to be 144.
The new Geforce RTX 4000 will probably be presented at the GTC on September 20. What do you think of the Geforce RTX 4090? Please use the comments feature and let us know what you think.
