Ryzen 7000: MSI confirms release dates

Date:

of Andrew Link
Apparently, MSI has confirmed the Ryzen 7000 release dates. Those interested can already take note of the dates.

The latest secrets about the Ryzen 7000 are slowly being revealed and when it is released, most should only be confirmed. MSI was now even free, whether intentional or not, to confirm the release date that had already been posted by speculators. The rumors must be confirmed. The press embargo will therefore fall on September 13, and the sales embargo on September 15, at 15:00 CET/CET. A product announcement is also planned for August 29 at 14:00 CET/CET. For daylight saving time, the Germans have to add an hour at a time.

  • Product Announcement: August 29, 2022 at 8:00 pm ET / August 30, 2022 at 2:00 am CET / 8:00 am Eastern Time
  • Press Embargo: September 13, 2022 at 9am ET / 3pm CET / 9pm
  • Sales Embargo: September 15, 2022 at 9am ET / 3pm CET / 9pm

There were also other places, call them rumours, about Ryzen 7000 performance data. A screenshot from Twitter user HXL is making the rounds, suggesting significantly higher bandwidth for the Zen 4 cache. Reading 1,494.8 GB/s and write of 1,445.7 GB/s along with a latency of 10.1 ns, which is around 50 percent more than with the last generation. For comparison, Alder Lake is 21.8 ns. It was probably measured on a Ryzen 9 7900X for the L3 cache. Also, there are the L2 caches doubled in size.

Ryzen 7000: After the launch, technical data has now also been leaked [Gerücht]

This leaves few questions unanswered until launch. Of course, the technical data has not yet been officially confirmed and the final prices are still missing, but basically you know where the journey is headed. The launch portfolio consists of four models, one of which is the Ryzen 7 7700X instead of the 7800X. Smaller Ryzen and V-Cache models will follow later. It stands to reason that the Ryzen 7 7800X will come as well or only as a 3D version.
