AMD’s upcoming Zen 4 processors should build on the success of Zen 3 with DDR5 memory support and architectural improvements and deliver even better performance. The rumored lineup is very similar to the lineup of current Ryzen 5000 models, so optimal processors can be re-purchased for different requirement profiles. An engineering sample of a Ryzen 5 7600X has now surfaced, making its rounds on the troublesome Userbenchmark website.

Since Userbenchmark has an extreme Intel bias and peculiar testing philosophy, the results between Intel and AMD processors are always problematic, but the data can be used to make initial comparisons between different AMD models. Compared to the Ryzen 5 5600X, the ES chip is said to have 56% higher single-core performance, and even when using four cores, it is still 49% faster than its predecessor. After the website lists the chip under the name Advanced Marketing Devices 7600X and the gallery statement is still valid, further objective comparisons are unfortunately not possible.
