On Tuesday, July 26, 2022, Niantic introduces a new feature for Pokémon GO that gives players a daily bonus. This is the “daily adventure smoke”. With this new feature, trainers will receive a special adventure smoke every day.

Unlike a normal smoke, this one lasts 15 minutes and only spawns new Pokémon while running, according to the associated press release. What’s special about this article: During these 15 minutes, students can encounter Pokémon that are otherwise rarely seen in the wild. Those who exercise in rural areas especially benefit from this.

Additionally, all players who have less than 30 balls in their inventory at the time of activation will receive 30 Poké Balls when using Adventure Smoke. When the 15 minutes are up, players are shown a summary of the Pokémon they caught, which they can then easily share with others if they wish. Adventure Smoke will be released to all players over the next week.

You should also note that while adventure smoke is active, you cannot activate any other normal smoke. Of course, the same applies the other way around. So if you want to use your adventure smoke, don’t activate another one first.

Niantic goes on to explain that in order to use this new smoke, you must first complete special in-game research that teaches you how to use it and gives you bonus XP. After use, Adventure Smoke will disappear from inventory until the next day.

And remember, the new smoke will only attract Pokemon while you’re moving!
