Yes, the Skull and Bones project is alive! After the project was probably restructured and postponed several times, Ubisoft now wants to show a real game for the first time! As you can see from the announcement, there will be a live stream on Twitch and YouTube tomorrow, Thursday, July 7, 2022, showing the reveal of the game.
The transmission begins at 8 p.m. and could contain other surprises, as announced by Ubisoft. “You may discover other hidden gems along the way…” the broadcast announcement concludes. The Skull and Bones game premiere will be broadcast as part of the Ubisoft Forward (#UbiForward) format, which deals with new titles from the well-known developer and publisher.
Many surprises – pirates are waiting
The show begins with a pre-show full of surprises starting at 7:45 p.m. The main program then features the game’s introduction, Ubisoft’s unique take on piracy, and exclusive behind-the-scenes insights from the developers.
Here is the premiere of the game:
Skull and Bones (or “Skull & Bones”) is said to be based on an open world and strong multiplayer content. Located in the pirate environment, you will probably go into battle against other players with your own ship. We will certainly find out tomorrow at the latest if we can also hunt for treasure and compete against AI opponents.
Ubisoft’s own project “Skull & Bones” was first announced five years ago at E3 2017. But after the announcement, not much happened for a long time. The significant postponements of many Ubisoft projects after some failures and the harsh criticism of other releases such as Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint did not make the community more optimistic about the Skull & Bones news.
This is what Ubisoft 2020 had to say about the game:
Skull & Bones: Ubisoft’s pirate game is a long time coming
Although the Ubisoft Forward Stream tomorrow, Thursday, will be dedicated exclusively to Skull and Bones, there will be another broadcast of this format on September 10, 2022, which will feature several more games and current news.
